Does studying psychology in +1 and …

Does studying psychology in +1 and +2 have any major effect on the way we think behave etc? I want to know if studying psychology is of any use as I took psychology and now I find it kind of boring.I don't want to waste my time studying a subject which I find boring and also don't have any real benefit.
