Let r be radius and h be the height of cylinder.
r = {tex} 7 \over 2{/tex}cm, h = 19 - 2 {tex} 7 \over 2{/tex}= 12 cm
Volume of solid = Vol. of cylinder + Vol. of two hemispheres
=
r2h + 2[2
/3 r3]
=
(7/2)2× 12 +4
/3 [7/2]3
= 641.66 cm3
T.S.A. = C.S.A. of cylinder + S.A. of two hemisphere.
= 2
rh + 2 (2
r2) = 2
r (h + 2r)
=2
× 7/2[12 + 7]
= 22
19 cm2
= 418 cm2
