Let one number be x, so that the other number is x+5.
According to the given question,
x(x+5)=300
x2+5x-300=0
(x+20)(x-15)=300
x=-20 and x=15

<div>x cannot be negative, since the numbers are successive integral multiples of 5.
So, x=15, and x+5=20
Hence, the multiples are 15 and 20.</div>
