In simple words if you want to differentiate the u can simply answer like this Dna has double strand whereas rna has single strand. Dna contains deoxyribose sugar whereas rna contains ribose sugar. Dna helps in transfer of genetic characters whereas rna helps in synthesizing proteins. Dna has ATGC nucleotide and rna contain AUGC. Dna is of one type and rna is of 3 type mrna rrna and trna.
