All the cells present in multicellular organism are not in contact with the environment. Therefore diffusion is insufficient to meet oxygen requirements in multicellular organisms

diffusion is a very slow process and the volume of human body is so big..so, oxygen takes to much time to diffuse in each and every cells of the body.. So, diffusion in insufficient to meet the oxygen requirements of human body..
