Concave mirrors are used in solar furnaces. This is because they have a converging power. With this they have the ability to focus the rays of the sun to the substance. Hence high temperature is observed.

Concave mirrors are used in solar devices since they are converging in nature and when the sunlight falls on mirror it get converged at a point thus high temperature is obtained.
