Let the ratio be K:1 and coordinate (x,0) Y = K*7 + 1*(-6)÷ K+1 0 = 7K -6 6 = 7K 6/7 = K/1 K:1 = 6:7 The ratio be 6:7 Let A(-4,-6) B(-1,7) is a line and the point of division be P(x,0) X = -k-4/k+1 = -6/7-4/-6/7+1 = -6-28/7÷ 6+7/7 = -34/13 Coordinates of P(-34/13 ,0)
