Let the red balls be x Probability of not red is 18-x/18 ii) x/20= 9×(18-x)/8×18 x/20=162-9x/144 144x=20(162-9x) 144x=3240-180x 144x+180x=3240 324x=3240 x=10

Since, the value of x comes 10...hence the probability of the ball not to be red is 4/9 in first case.!!!!
