Describe the power sharing mechanism in Lebanon

The Parliament elects a President (As per the rules in Lebanon, the president must belong to the Maronite sect) every six years to a single term. The President is not eligible for the re-election. The president and parliament together choose the Prime Minister (the prime minister must belong to the Sunni Muslim community). The deputy prime minister’s post is fixed for the orthodox Christians. The speaker’s post is only for Shia Muslims.

A new twist in Lebanese politics happened when the Doha Agreement settled a new trend in which the opposition was allowed a veto power in the Lebanese Council of Ministers and confirmed religious Confessionals in distribution of political power.
