Democracy can be judged by its outcome because it opens the path of expectations which is one of the criteria for judging any democratic country. Following points can prove the below points:
A democratic government is legitimate government and accountable to the citizens and responsible for the needs and aspirations of the countrymen.
It allows for peaceful changes in the society by the means of elections.
A democratic country looks into the needs and aspirations of every section of society. It is also able to handle social conflicts, divisions and differences.
Democratic governements are based on the rule of law. Government functions on the basis of the rule of law and not on the wishes of the political leaders.
