Simplest derivation........ Q=VL/E........(where VL is voltage across inductor and E is total voltage applied).. Q=lXL/IZ........(where I is current and XL is reactance of inductor and Z is impedance ... Q=XL/Z............ Q=XL/R.........(because in LCR circuit Z=R) Q=wL/R.........(L is inductance here and w is omega actually)... Q=L/R√LC.....(because w=1/√LC in resonant LCR circuit)..... Therefore Q=1/R√L/C.....where C is capacitance of capcaitor...same derivation can be done using Vc instead of VL result will be same....
