Carpel has 3 important parts in a flower
- Ovary
- Basal enclosed part of carpel
- Ovarian cavity is termed as Locule
- Encloses ovule in it
- Ovules are attached to cushion-like structure called Placenta
- Style
- Tube like structure that connects the Ovary & Stigma
- Stigma
- Located at the exposed end of Style
- Acts as the receptive surface for pollen grains
