Area of right angle triangle = 1/2 × base × height (perpendicular)
And
According to Pythagoras theorem :
H² = P² + B²
Here,
Base (B) = 24 cm
Hypotenuse (H) = 25 cm
Now,
According to Pythagoras theorem....
P² = H² - B²
=> P = √ (H² - B²)
=> P = √ (25² - 24² )
=> P = √ (625 - 576)
=> P = √ 49
=> Perpendicular = 7 cm
Now,
Area = 1/2 × B × P
= 1/2 × 24 × 7
= 84 cm²
