If u have understood the term adsorption u would easily understand this year sorption... Basically adsorption is a process in which one substance gets accumulated on the surface of another substance ..nad on the other hand the term adsorption is process of removing that acculated substance .....so when these two processes happen simultaneously.... The basic term is used and is called as sorption....... 1.the substance which gets accumulated on the surface of another substance.. - adsorbate 2. The substance on the surface of which another substance has accumulated - absorbent
