Proof: Tangents frm an external points to the circle are equal. Therefore,ap=as.......eq 2 Bp=bq...........eq 3 Dr=ds.......eq 3 Cr=cq.........eq 4 By adding these equations Ab+bp+dr+cr=as+bq+ds+cq Ab+bp+dr+cr=as+ds+bq+cq Ab+dc=ad+bc Ab+ab=ad+ad(from eq 1) 2ab=2ad Ab=ad Hence proved
