Given -ABCD is a rectangle, AC bisects A and C Proof -i) In ? ABC and ? ADC 1=2 (given) 3=4 (given) AC=AC (common) By ASA criterion. ? ABC congruent to ? ADC. Therefore AB =AD...... (1) (cpct) but ABCD is rectangle therefore AB=DC.....(2) BC =AD.......(3) From (1),(2),(3) AB =BC=CD=DA. Therefore ABCD is a square
