  2. Beds of rock salt were formed when seas of bygone ages dried up. Rock salt is mined like coal.

The salt which is obtain from earth crust in the form of rock is called rock salt. Mainly common salt NACL is called rock salt it is black in colour when it is dug out from the earth crust.
