The tokens are collected and exchanged for a reward such as an outing for the patient or a treat for the child . This is known as token economy .

Persons with behavioural problems can be given a token as reward every time a wanted behaviour occurs. The tokens are collected and exchanged with for a predetermined reward such as outing for the patient or a treat for the child.

Token economy is used to treat behavioural disorder. In this individual get a token on every correct behaviour. After certain quantity of tokens individual will replace the token with any other thinks like watching movies, going market, etc.
