Let ABC and BCDE are a triangle and a parallelogram on the same base BC. For triangle ABC, a=15cm, b=14cm, c=13cm S=a+b+c÷2 =15+14+13÷2 =42÷2 =21cm Ar(ABC triangle) =√s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c) = √ 21(21-15)(21-14)(21-13) =√21×6×7×8 =√7×3×3×2×7×2×2×2 = 7×3×2×2 =84cm sq Ar (parallelogram BCDE)=84 Base× height= 84 14×height= 84 Height= 84÷28 Height=3cm sq
