perimeter =2(l+b)/2=36 x+4+x=36 2x+4=36 2x=36-4. 2x=32 x=16. B=16. L=16+4=20

X+y=36..(1) X=4+y...(2) Put value of x.. In (1) 4+y+y=36 4+2y=36 2y=32 Y=16 Put value of y in (2) X=4+16=20 So.. Length of garden is 20m and width is 16m..
