a. It was Cotton industry, which was first to develop in the era of factory production.
b. A lot of factors can be attributed to such a development.
c. A series of changes, technological developments, inventions bringing about change from a domestic system to a factory system.
d. Inventions made enhanced the efficacy of every process like spinning, twisting.
e.. It increased the efficiency of the production process.
f. It brought about standardisation in the process, supervision over the quality of the product, regulated labour.
g. It also saw implementation of scientific technologies and mechanisms in industries and factories for production of commodities on a larger scale.Such industrialisation began in England in the 18th century when new machines were invented such as, Hargreaves, Spinning Jenny,Crompton's mule, Arkwright's waterframe etc.These machines were used in textile industries to expand the growth of production.
h.These inventions, helped in increasing output per worker.
i. Cromford Mill was the first water-powered cotton spinning mill developed by Richard Arkwright in 1771, in Cromford, England.
j. Cotton industry added to the glory of the city, attracted migrants in huge numbers.
k, It later resulted in growth of infrastructure, better transportation, housing in the cities.
