A nucleoside is one of the structural components or building blocks of DNA or RNA. A nucleotide consists of a base (one of the four bases: adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine) and a molecule of sugar and phosphoric acid. They are formed by the attachment of a base to 1’ position of sugar in a nucleoside.
