★Giuseppe Garibaldi was the most celebrated of Italian freedom fighters. ★In 1833 he joined the young Italy movement and participated in a republic uprising in Piedmont in 1834. ★In 1854 he supported VICTOR EMANUEL II to unify the Italian states . ★In 1860 he led the famous expenditure of thousands to South Italy and they were shown as red shirts . ★He succeed in winning the support of the local peasants of two sicilies in order to drive out the Spanish rulers in 1860. BY THIS WAY HE PLAYED AN IMPORTANT ROLE IN THE UNIFICATION OF GERMANY . HE WAS CONSIDERED AS THE FATHER OF FATHERLAND. ???
