Let side of larger square be a Let side of smaller square be b According to question a^2+b^2=802--(1) Again according to question 4a-4b=8 4(a-b) =8 a-b=2 a=b+2--(2) Putting eq(2) in (1) (b+2)^2+b^2=802 b^2+4+4b+b^2=802 2b^2+4b+4-802=0 2(b^2+2b-396)=0 b^2+2b-396=0 Using quadratic formula Value of b =19m value of a=21m
