Due to - 1) Lack of domestic market for Steel in India. 2) most of the steel is produced for international markets. 3)Modern and cost effective technologies for steel production aren't utilized in India due to lack of infrastructure. 4)72℅ of total population live in village and have less requirement of Steel. 5) lack of development in remote areas, poor infrastructure in remote areas, lack of adequate means of transport makes it difficult to deliver steel in backward areas.
