Atoms which have the tendency to share electrons .When sharing of electrons happen between two elements then it is said to be covalent bond. Eg- H2 H - contain 1 electron So to complete its valence shell it needs 1 more electron So now it will share its one electron with another H atom Then 2H atoms both will have 2electrons which will complete valence shell of both the atoms The bond which they share is covalent bond
