Graphite is used for making electrodes also because it is good conductor of electricity.

1) Copper and aluminum are used for making electric wire because they are good conductor of electricity and cheap. 2) Gold and silver are used for making jewellery because they are very lustrous. They are very less reactive and Don't corrode easily. 3)Copper is used for making hot tanks because it is the best conductor of heat and doesn't react with water. 4) Graphite is used for making electrodes because it is insoluble in acid, water ,bases and is non-corrosive metal. 5) Metal are used to making bells and strings of musical wire because they are sonorous, i.e., they produce sound when struck with hard object.
