Given, V = 220V , P = 10 W, I = 5 A. So, R = V^2/P = (220)^2/10 = 4840 ohm. Now, suppose 'n' number of bulb be connected in parallel with each other. Then, their equivalent resistance will be : 1/R = 1/4840 + 1/4840 +.....+ n times => 1/R = n/4840 => R = 4840/n ohm .......(1). Now, using ohm law, R = V/I => R = 220/5....(2). By putting the value of (1) in (2) , we get , 4840/n = 220/5 => n = (4840×5)/220 => 110.
