1) Resistance depends upon length ,area of cross section, temperature and nature of the given materials while resistivity only depends upon nature of given materials and temperature. 2) The SI unit of resistance is ohm while SI unit of resistivity is ohm- meter. 3) Resistance is denoted by R while resistivity is denoted by p (rho).
