(i) {tex}2^{2x}-2^{x+3}+2^4=0{/tex}
{tex}=> (2^x)^{2}-2^{x}2^{3}+16=0{/tex}
Put 2x= y
{tex}=> y^2-8y+16=0{/tex}
{tex}=> y^2-4y-4y+16=0{/tex}
{tex}=> y(y-4)-4(y-4)=0{/tex}
=> (y-4)(y-4) = 0
=> y = 4
{tex}=> 2^x= 4{/tex}
=> {tex}2^x= 2^2{/tex}
So value of x = 2
