First aid is the first help which is given to the wounded or accidental victim before the arrival of the doctor. It enables the trained persons to render the help to preserve life , promote recovery of the injury until the arrival of the doctor. It is very difficult to get medical aid to the victims at the spot of the accident. At that moment some immediate possible aid is required to the victims.

First aid is the assistance given to any person; suffering a sudden illness or injury with care provided to preserve life, prevent the condition from worsening and/or promote recovery.
