Let the number of 25 p coins be x and 50 p coins be y.

therefore, according to given condition, we have

25x + 50y = 1950 ------ (1) [converting values in paisa]

--> 25 (x + 2y) = 25 X 78

--> x + 2y = 78 ---- (A)

and x + y = 50 ---- (B)

Subtract B from A, we get

x + 2y = 78

x + y = 50

------------

y = 28

So, the number of50 p coins is 28.

Now putting this value of y in Equation B, we get

x + 28 = 50

x = 22

So, the number of 25 p coins is 22.
