Partiton of Bengal: Partition of Bengal was done by Lord Curzon in the year 1905.
Reason: To increase the efficiency of administration.
Initial programmes of agitation:
Swadeshi movement: People used goods that were produced in India
Boycott movement: Refused to buy or sell British goods.
The people agitated against the partition of Bengal because, they thought that the spirit of unity was dissolved.
