See that.... 17th term is... 4 ....... Equation1️⃣ and.. We know that... 17th = a +16d equation 2️⃣ now from equation 1️⃣ and 2️⃣ we get that.... 4=a +16d and (d=-4).......... 4= a+(-64)..... So a = 68...... ?? hope u understood welll

D=-4 17th term is 4 a+16d= 4 a+16*-4=4 a-64=4 a=4+64 a=68 First term is 68
