Gandhiji had organised 3 satyagraha movement , first in Champaran. Second in Kheda district and third in Ahmedabad. As an example if we take any of the movement based on satyagraha we can see that Gandhiji win thrice of these with the help of non violence.

A satyagrahi win the battle through non violence because according to Gandhiji, if someone is fighting for truth or true cause, there is no need to use any physical force to fight the oppressor. A satyagrahi could win a battle through non violence without being aggressive.
