Let x be 0.12333.....(1) Multiply (1)by 100 100x=12.3333...(2) Multiply (2) by 10 1000 x =123.3333....(3) Subtract (2)from(3) 1000 x - 100x=123.333....-12.333... 900 x = 112 x=112/900 x=28/225

Let x = 0.12333..... -------(1) Multiply both side by 10 10x = 1.2333...---------(2) Subtract eq. (1)and (2) 10x = 1.2333..... - x = 0.1233...... ___________________ 9x = 1.1100..... x = 1.11/9
