2x + y = 7 .....equ (i)and
4x-3y+1=0.......equ(ii)
Elimination method: in this method we eliminate one of the variable (ie, x or y) and reduce the equation into one variable equation and thus find the solution
Let's begin !
step: 1
Multiply the equation 1 by two so as to make the the coefficient of x same in both equation
=>2(2x+y=7)
or, 4x+2y=14.........equ(iii)
Step: 2
Subtract the two equations ie, (equiii and equ ii.
=> 4x +2y=14 ....equ iii
4x-3y=-1 .... equ ii
..............................................
We get, 5y= 15
or, y=3
{tex}\boxed{y=3}{/tex}
step: 3
substitute it in equ ii
4x-3y=-1
=> 4x -3 (3) = -1
or, 4x - 9= -1
or, 4x=-1+9
or, 4x=8
or,x=8/4
or,x=2
{tex}\boxed{x=2}{/tex}
