Multicellular organism like humans have complex body structure and large body size. This they bear specialized cells and tissues for performing various necessary functions of the body such as nutrition respiration transportation excretion and finally repriduction. So diffusion is not sufficient to meet the oxygen requirement for the multicellular organisms like human beings.
