Let their age be 5x and 9x Thus, (5x+ 13)/(9x+13)= 7/10 cross multiplication:- (5x+13)*10= (9x+13)*7 =>50x +130 = 63x+91 =>130-91=63x-50x =>39=13x => x= 39/13 => x= 3 Therefore, The ages of father and son are (5*3=)15 and (9*3=)27 Ans:- 15 and 27
