    ? Constitution prescribes that the number of Dutch and French ministers shall be equal in the central government. Some special laws require the support of majority of ministers from each linguistic groups. ? Many powers of the central government have been given to the state government of the two regions of the country. State government is not subordinate to the central government. ? Brussels has a seperate government in which both the communities have equal representation. The french speaking people have accepted equal representation in Brussels because the dutch community have accepted equal representation in the central government. ? Apart from central and state governments, there is a third kind of government. This "community government" is elected by the people of one language community - French, Dutch and German - no matter where they live.
