When gandhi ji was put in jail for the salt march the peasants of gorakhpur were enraged and they attacked many police officers due to this he called off civil disobedience movement. It was the gorakhpur incident. Hope it will help u

Non cooperation movement is not supporting the Britishers in their rules whereas civil disobedience is boycott and breaking the rules of British such as entering into the reserved forests and not giving chaukidari taxes

(1)Non coperation movement was started in 1921 whereas civil disobedience movement movement was started in 1930.(2) non coper.movemwnt wsa called off after the incident of chauri chaura and civil disobedience movement was called off after the gorakhpur incident....Hope it will help u.
