They use to keep him away from them....give him greed to catch fish.....and ....keep him on strong diet i.e they were not going to feed him...these were some major steps taken by seagull family to overcome his fear

His parents tried various ways to encourage him to learn to fly but he could not gather his courage.They threatened and conjoled him but he was too timid and not confident about the strenght of his wings. His mother startes eating a fish within his sight. The young seagull pleaded her to give him some. But she waited for sometime till he became too eager to get the food. After that, she flew to him with the fish, come very near to him but did not give him food. The young seagull was too anxious to get the food, he dived to get it and then his mother flew away. Now there was no way to escape. He screamed and fell down but as he opened his wings and flapped them he realized that he was flying.
