The idea of satyagrah is to fought against British rule with non violence. However this didn't last long for many years as many of the revolutionary put the police station on fire in chauri chaura where 22 policemen were killed. The basic idea of satyagrah is 1. Disobeying British rules and regulations. 2. Without using violence.
