Let the vectors are A and B.
Given, |A| = 4 units, |B| = 4 units and {tex}\theta{/tex}= 60°
The magnitude of resultant of difference of A and B from parallelogram law of vector addition for vectors A and (-B) is given by,
{tex}R = | \mathbf { R } | = \sqrt { A ^ { 2 } + B ^ { 2 } - 2 A B \cos \theta }{/tex}
{tex}= \sqrt { 4 ^ { 2 } + 4 ^ { 2 } - 2 \times 4 \times 4 \cos 60 ^ { \circ } }{/tex}
R = 4 units
