SO2 in air combines with rain water to become h2so4 which in turn acts as a corrosive agent, thereby causing land and water pollution.

Because it cause damage to men , plants ,animals,and building . Like in animal and men it cause many respiratory disorder. In plant it decrease rate of photosynthesis. On building it decrease shine by falling in form of acid rain
