First of all I would make it clear that Sin(90-a)= cos a. So, sin^2 63°would be cos^2 17° and cos^2 17°=sin^2 73° In the expression given in the question, (Cos^2 17°+sin^2 17°)/(sin^2 73°+cos^2 73) Since sin^2 a+cos^2 a=1, it would become 1/1=1 Hence, the answer is 1.
