The tropic of Cancer runs almost half way through the country implies the following:
a. The tropic of cancer which is an imaginary parallel of latitudes passes through the middle of the country.
b. It approximately divides our country into two halves.
c. It divides the country into two separate climatic zones.
d. India thus receives both tropical and sub tropical type of climate.
e. The southern part gets more heat from the sun than northern part.
f. The difference between the duration of day and night is more in northern than Southern.
