Naveen Sharma 8 years, 2 months ago

A flower is the part of a plant which is often brightly coloured, grows at the end of a stem, and only survives for a short time. It is the seed-bearing part of a plant, consisting of reproductive organs (stamens and carpels).

Flowers are the reproductive organs of a plant. Sexual reproduction in plants is enabled by flowering and is a sign of plant survival.

Flowers are plant structures involved in sexual reproduction, they are typically comprised of sexual reproductive structures (i.e. androecium and gynoecium) in addition to nonessential parts such as sepals and petals. And the presence/absence of these structures may be used to describe flowers and flowering plants (angiosperms).
