The two boys in London were surprised and fascinated because they saw a fresh muddy footprint of a pair of bare feet. They could not see anyone but only the footprints. They wondered what a barefooted man was doing on the steps of a house, in the middle of London. They wondered where the man was. So being surprised they chased the imprints.
