Let n=1 so an= 3(1)-5= -2 Let ,n=2 3(2)-5= 1 A.P.=-2,1,4,7............ The a5= a +4d -2+4(3)=10

Substitute 5 in place of n
Given  An
an= 3n -5
By substitution, We get
a5 = 3(5) - 5
= 15 - 5
= 10
Therefore 5th term of a.p is 10.
